BCGrowing up in the Okanagan with fruit orchards and a packing facility at her doorstep Christina has long understood the concept that hard work reaps great rewards. With an independent entrepreneurial spirit passed on from her agricultural based family who later traded apples for a vineyard; coupled with a strong work ethic and creative strategic thinking, Christina is well positioned to take on almost any new challenge.
Never afraid to take a risk, Christina began her own event planning company in 2008 to great success allowing her to focus on her true love – event and brand management. With the education foundation of a BBA Business Administration degree from Okanagan University College, she brings her education and skill set to each production. Always creative, she is equally strong in marketing research and data analysis, exhibitor recruitment and sales, budget development and execution and highly proficient in social media using twitter, instagram and facebook as key marketing tools in her overall event strategy.
With a diverse and impressive client list, Christina has managed and organized corporate events and community events throughout the Okanagan Valley and Vancouver BC. She has worked with leaders in business and industry as well as private, small business, and non-profit groups. For ten years, Christina focused her talents as co-coordinator of the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society (OWFS) planning the four annual Okanagan Wine Festivals and two Judging Competitions. These high profile events captured national and international media attention as well as are the focus of the entire Okanagan Valley, so nerves of steel and attention to detail are essential.
Christina radiates a positive energy. With her talent, charm and experience she easily develops solid relationships with her clients, colleagues and vendors. This ability allows her to relate to her client needs, and have a greater understanding of their vision, goals and objectives for their event. She is dedicated to providing quality service to all of her clients while remaining time sensitive and budget aware.
Even with a hectic business schedule, Christina still makes time to remain involved in her community serving on the Board of Directors for Tourism Kelowna, Okanagan Chefs Association and previously with the British Columbia Wine Institute, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, the Okanagan College Alumni Association, and Creative Okanagan.
With wine flowing through her veins, and her four-legged companion Penny by her side, Okanagan Event Planner and Publicist Christina Ferreira is ready to tackle large and small event production, and bring brand awareness to individuals and businesses.
