Christina Ferreira

Christina founded Impact Events in 2008 and has grown the business from a solo side hustle to today’s small agency. Christina radiates a positive enthusiastic energy. With her talent, charm and knowledgeable experience she easily develops solid relationships with her clients, colleagues and vendors. This allows her to relate to her client needs, and have a greater understanding of their vision, goals and objectives for each event. With more than 20 years of experience in producing events, communications and marketing in hospitality Christina brings experience and awareness of growth in the industry. The companies portfolio focusses on three major sectors including hospitality tourism, non-profit/charity and new residential real estate through producing events, fundraisers and supporting public relations and communications. In addition to an impressive client portfolio Impact Events also owns five large community festival style events. When not working you will find Christina exploring the region’s local wineries, restaurants and lakeside adventures with her dog.

Janell Rashke

With her positive and outgoing personality Janell is a new addition to the Impact Team where she acts as one of our Project Managers. Growing up in a small town in Northern BC, creating fun was something you had to be good at in order to avoid boredom, she started her career in event planning there. For over 5 years she has been helping organize events for the Women’s Shelter she works at, as well as helping friends and family organize gatherings and celebrations, or running groups where she worked as well in healthcare! Janell found her way to us where she can finally pursue her passion for planning events. When she isn’t working with us you can find her kayaking on Okanagan lake, enjoying concerts with friends, camping, baking, working on one of her many hobbies, or daydreaming about new ideas for our projects.

Bella Thomson

With a background in culinary arts and hospitality, Bella has always had insatiable need to create. Whether that was to create delicious food or create memorable experiences for people. She has been a part of many culinary events in Kelowna over the years, catering and competing. She has even acted as a food, wine and tourism ambassador for Okanagan College. Eventually, Bella’s passion for hospitality grew into a passion for events management, she wanted to be a part of the whole event production process. Bella has lived in Kelowna, BC for over a decade now, and in that time developed a love for the Okanagan lifestyle. In her free time she can be found hiking and biking, gardening, working on a painting project, cooking, or playing chess in a pub.

Chrystal Myers

With over 10 years of web and print design experience Chrystal has been creating noticeable and unique creations for employers and clients alike. Born and raised in Kelowna, BC and her creative mix and local perspective provides a whimsical yet practical touch to her projects. Chrystal enjoys freelancing as it affords her the opportunity to quickly pound out code in the wee hours of the morning as well as allows her to spend time with her family during the day. When she’s not talking about her latest activities you can find her at the nearest Starbucks drive thru, smashing bodies at Roller Derby practice, dreaming about her next quilt design or sweating in a hot yoga class.

Jessica Samuels

Jessica Samuels is a seasoned communicator who has two decades of experience in storytelling and engaging diverse audiences. Her career began as a producer for talk radio and she has since worked as a television producer, reporter, anchor, and host of her own talk radio show. Today, Jessica uses her communication and media skills in the non-profit sector, working to bring awareness to the causes she supports – strategically and effectively getting their messages out through print, video and social media platforms.

 

Her focus in our company: Strategic Communications, Public Engagement, Media Relations, Issues Management, Crisis Communications, Digital Communications, Diversity & Inclusion

Penny Ferreira

She’s a 4.5 year old Border Collie x and belongs to our founder Christina.
